Meet the founder
About Summer
Summer Young is a beauty entrepreneur and educator who founded Sevynn Shades in 2017. After building a successful salon, she ran into one of the industry's biggest problems: finding skilled, reliable professionals who deliver high-quality work every time.
So she moved into education and founded Sevynn Shades Nail Academy, training aspiring nail technicians in technique, business and professional standards, with a strong focus on sanitation and infection prevention.
Now she brings both sides, salon owner and educator, to the Beauty Career Expo to connect emerging talent with the businesses looking for them.
From building a business to developing the talent behind it.
Questions
Frequently asked questions.
Who can exhibit?
Any beauty business with genuine employment, internship, apprenticeship or other career opportunities available. That includes salons, studios, spas, clinics, product manufacturers and distributors, retailers, and employers hiring admin, support or technical staff.
Can I sell products at my booth?
Yes. Product sales are permitted. The expo isn't intended for businesses attending only to promote or sell beauty services, so every exhibitor needs real career opportunities to offer.
What's included in the vendor package?
A 10×10 booth with power, a complimentary custom roll-up banner you keep, a spot on the Opportunity Wall, a complimentary professional headshot, on-the-spot interviews with attendees, guaranteed inclusion in event media coverage, access to the Beyond the Chair panel, post-event access to attendees who opt in, and the option to add an item to the attendee gift bags.
How does vendor pricing work?
Booths are released in three tiers: $250, $300 and $350. Every tier includes the same full package. Only the price changes, and the next tier opens when the current one sells out. Tier 1 is available now.
Is the banner really included?
Yes. Every vendor receives a complimentary, professionally printed roll-up banner customized with their branding. It's included in the booth fee at no extra charge, and it's yours to keep for future events. We'll send artwork instructions and the submission deadline after you register.
What happens after I apply?
You'll get a confirmation email right away. We'll review your application and contact you to confirm your booth, payment and next steps. Your booth is confirmed once registration and payment are complete.
What does "guaranteed media coverage" mean?
Every exhibiting vendor is included in the event's photo, video and creator coverage. It doesn't include a dedicated promotional video, individual interview or guaranteed publication unless that's confirmed with you separately.
How does post-event recruitment access work?
Attendees can choose to share their name and email with exhibitors when they register. After the expo, vendors receive the contact details of attendees who opted in, so you can follow up, share openings and invite people to interview.
Is it free to attend?
Yes. The expo is free and open to the public for beauty professionals, students and anyone considering a career in beauty. Register so we know you're coming.
What should attendees bring?
Printed copies of your résumé and your portfolio. Vendors will be holding interviews on the spot.
